Football is massive in Sierra Leone. It’s a healthy distraction from the hardships young people face, and it brings communities together — the English Premier League has a huge following here, with matches shown live across the country.
Kit and Equipment
For several years, Help Madina has been distributing football kit and equipment donated by professional and amateur clubs in the UK. The list of donors is long, and includes Cheltenham Town, Swindon Town, Everton, Watford, Forest Green Rovers, Fairford, and even Arsenal. These donations have helped many small village teams across the Madina area take to the pitch properly kitted out.

Coaching, Tournaments and the Help Madina Premier League
Beyond kit, Help Madina has helped provide football coaching and organise tournaments for teams across the district. This work has grown into the Help Madina Premier League, a proper local league bringing together village teams from across the area. Read more about the Help Madina Premier League.
